Aquarians has always been a small club but has survived intact since the 1980’s. We have usually been a one-team club but the club has extended to 2 – 4 teams at times over the years. Our Club teams have played every grade from B2 down to C5, depending on the players who join us each year, and can boast quite a few premierships in both day and night, women’s and mixed competitions. We do not have a set feeder area but have always been a team of friends, and friends of friends.
Despite being a tiny club we have not let this limit our involvement at Association level.
• Our club was a pioneer of Mixed netball at ERNA in the 1990s being one of the first to play Mixed at ERNA. Our club also has the longest involvement in Mixed netball in both the ERNA Night and Day competitions.
• Our club boasts National C and B badged umpires and the ability to support other clubs with their umpiring needs.
• We have had club members on all sorts of ERNA Committees and Executive including Umpiring, Disputes, Fixtures and Development.
• Aquarians has one member who is a Life Member of Eastwood Ryde Netball Association.
• We have had ERNA Rep coaches looking after State Age and State league teams.
• There have been Masters Rep players and a member of our club went on to represent Australia in Masters indoor netball.
In 2017 we were the inaugural winners of the Club of the Year which enabled us to upgrade our uniforms to the current aqua green, white and black dress. Prior to this our club uniform has changed a few times. Initially it was a pink shirt with maroon skirt; aqua green shirt with white skirt; and aqua green and black shirt with black skort (enabling the boys to wear the similar uniform).
